Yesterday, Raegan and I took Madge, our westy camper, out for a spin. We found a couple homes in Newton in the low 4's which was, at first, exciting, only it turned out they were all so close to the Mass Pike you could pee on it. Which I guess is good if that's what you're interested in doing. We returned home, deflated, turned on the tv and saw Bush standing at the G8 summit, looking particularly strange, even for him. So we ran back out and, to get our minds off our poverty and Britain's bombing, rented National Treasure, which proved marginally amusing if you tried to look for Iraq war allegory. And by that I mean smoked a bunch of weed.

On the plus side, Madge is running perfectly, though there is still that lingering smell of gas... She passed Massachusetts inspection, though, which was a happy shock.
Here's a picture. Notice the hard-wood linoleum flooring! Pretty soon we'll be taking her on the road for a longer trip, about a month-long or so, before we get down to the more serious business of making babies.

Oh, and while we're at it, here's a picture of our last camper: as it looked after we totaled it on our honeymoon. Yes, that's right, Raegan and I are probably the only two people in recorded history to ever roll a Westy, let alone on ones honeymoon. Full story here for those of you that missed it.

Update: Things are looking up. Raegan & I just won tickets to see Jazz great Ron Carter at the Regatta Bar tomorrow (Sat) night at 10pm. I was about to give up my calling, but Raegan insisted I persevere (then she made sure I included that detail in the blog). Woohoo! Thank you, WERS.
