Here's the thing.
I've been thinking. Why does Bush feel comfortable asking our soldiers to die to protect our freedom when he assumes the rest of us Americans would rather give up our freedom than die?
I gotta wonder: if our soldiers are expected to give up their lives to protect the idea of freedom, then hell, maybe we should be too, right? Shouldn't we be willing to take a little bit of mass destruction, so long as our freedom remains intact? Isn't that what everybody's always hootin' and hollerin' about? So some of us die, maybe a lot of us die. But isn't it hypocritical to ask our soldiers to die for our freedom when, clearly, we'd rather give up our freedom than die?

Protect our freedom? What does going into Iraq have to do with protecting our freedom? We've basically invaded another country like Hitler did back in the 40's and we're trying to impose our will and way of life on another country that clearly wants nothing to do with our 'democratic' system, if that's what you still call it. I call our system communism, since the government is basically telling us how to think and ruling this country by fear. And people are gullible. They're so scared that they're willing to give up freedoms because they're afraid another 9/11 will happen. That's really sad. Bush has stripped us of many of our freedoms that made this country great. Guess what? The terrorists have won. Thanks Bush.
