Progress at Last
So now it comes out that former president Ford (R.I.P.) was critical of Bush's Iraq policies almost from day one. Until just recently, criticizing Bush's handling of Iraq would have got your phone tapped.
Today it gets you a National Day of Mourning.
So that shows some progress, I suppose.

Bush only criticizes Democrats. Ford was a Republican. Reagan once said that as Republicans we never criticize our own. Bush obviously took that to heart. Also, Cheney served in the Ford administration. Bush would be biting the hand that feeds him if he spoke ill of Ford. He'd take a huge beating on those right-wing/commie FOX shows like O'Reilly Factor and Hannity. Incidently, I get a day off tomorrow from work because of the national day of mourning. All federal offices are closed. Unfortunately, I don't get paid. Bush is too cheap to pay his federal employees. Gotta funnel all that extra money to Iraq.
