I don't know if you're into numbers or anything. I'm not, particularly. And I don't know if you're into Judaism, which, really, I'm not so much either. But I gotta admit, this is kind of fun. Apparently, the number 18 is a really big deal in Judaism and apparently every other Jew in the world knows this but me, including my wife Raegan, who isn't even Jewish.

Like, for instance, it's such a big deal that some friends of my parents bought their house specifically because it was number 18 on the street. Which, by the way, is something I would never in a million years do.

The big deal with 18 is (I looked it up online) that 18, or Chai, represents the fulfillment of Torah and the commandments and corresponds to the power of will in the soul. Chai, 18, also means Long Life. The long life alluded to is in the merit of the commandments that the person performs. (That all came from the website. I'm not really even sure exactly what that last sentence means. In fact, I'm not too sure what most of it means. But it sure sounds nice.) Click here for further-elaborated nuttiness.

So anyway, the house we moved into is on 18 Border Street. The house was built in 1890 and the zip code for Winchester is 01890.
