I feel conflicted when it rains. On the one hand, the yard's being watered, but on the other, I know the rain's also pouring into our basement, through the huge whole the inspector punched in the bulkhead frame to demonstrate how rotted away the wood was. They're fixing it, but they haven't gotten around to it just yet.

The inspector had one tool in his arsenal. A two-foot flat-head screwdriver. He jabbed at wooden posts with it, used it to determine the presence of water, rodents, electrical current.

On a side note: Bush with his own two-foot flat-headed screwdriver is set to appoint Bolton today, while the Senate is in recess, because he's a man of the people, not a man of the Senate. Senate. Feh, who needs them? Totally antiquated concept. Switch the n with a d and what do you got? Sedate! That's what they are! Who appointed those guys, anyway? And that whole Constitution thing? Come on. It's written on parchment for God's sake! We need a man of today, a man of action! A man like Bolton, a real go-getter, one who's not afraid to abuse subordinates and twist intelligence in order to be the best Ambassador he can be!

By the way, for some truly intelligent Iraq war stories, please check out a site I put together featuring my buddy Command Sergeant Major Mabee's accounts. Find it here at Helliburton.com.

It's still raining. I can smell the mildew.

I agree with the Bolton appointment and believe he will fit in well with the cast of characters at the UN that reminds me of the bar scene in Star Wars. I also support the Dems position of no US representation. Albeit, I think the Dems would of had a more solid position if they also called for stopping US funding of the UN along with no representation.
